应该是comment on... 在比较正式的场合,比如考试,英文一般就问(please) comment on/evaluate, 不会问how do you comment on/evaluate... 也不会问 how to comment on/evaluate...

comment on... 跟 what do you think of... 不一样,后者比较口语化,例如说,你觉得某某某怎么样,what do you think of 其实跟 how do you feel about...

觉得始终有指指点点之义,judge 一个人的话,别人会觉得你自大到可以像法官一样judge别人;judge一件事的话,可以用know, tell代替,例如,不要说how can you judge if that's true or not? 最好说how do you know, how can you tell,等等。

指出在其他答案的一个语法错误,what's your thoughts on,不是about。

and my comment on this answer: What's your opinion on the topic of.....

avoid wordedness, people would think you're too serious and socially awkward. what's do you think about... is enough (and usually people say think about, not of), and when you try to emphasize, to imply that I value your input on a certain subject or I think you must have something insightful and interesting on a certain topic, say something like, I'd like to hear your thoughts on..., or, I'd like to have your input on..., would you like to comment on...

about比较随便一点(但要不太正式征求意见的时候,不如what do you think about...)

If you have an idea it might refer to something perceived through the senses (: I had no idea it was so cold out), to something visualized (: the idea of a joyous family outing), or to something that is the product of the imagination (: a great idea for raising money). Idea is a comprehensive word that applies to almost any aspect of mental activity.A thought, on the other hand, is an idea that is the result of meditation, reasoning, or some other intellectual activity (: she hadn't given much thought to the possibility of losing).

what are your thoughts on the matter? idea, notion, opinion, view, impression, feeling, theory;judgment, assessment, conclusion.
